Lemon Proats - full recipe on Instagram

Lemon berry cheesecake protein oatmeal is a deliciously nourishing way to start your Easter morning. It’s creamy, bright, and packed with spring flavor thanks to the lemony tang and bursts of fresh berries, made with wholesome enough for breakfast. With a boost of protein, it’ll keep you energized through egg hunts, brunch, and beyond, making it a festive yet functional option for the holiday.

Cinnamon Roll

Cinnamon rolls are a classic Easter morning favorite—warm, gooey, and filled with sweet cinnamon spice that feels like a cozy hug. Whether you make them from scratch or prep them the night before, they bring a sense of celebration and comfort to the table. Topped with a creamy glaze and served fresh from the oven, they’re a guaranteed crowd pleaser and the perfect way to kick off a joyful holiday.

If you are local to Utah, our family favorite cinnamon roll can be purchased from Sweet Cake Bake Shop

This year I plan making mine with a mix from Hand+Heart for our festive breakfast. (You can try code GFMACROS, it’s a discount not an affiliate code)

Looking for a homemade cinnamon roll? The best I have found so far is from Banana Diaries. That being said, they are amazing fresh. The leftovers aren't exactly my favorite. Looking at the ingredients from Loopy Whisk, they are very similar and have a lot of reviews, I just haven't tried them yet.

Honey Baked Ham

A honey baked ham is a classic centerpiece that brings both flavor and tradition to Easter dinner. Its sweet, caramelized glaze pairs beautifully with the savory, tender meat, creating a mouthwatering balance that's sure to impress guests. Easy to serve and perfect for feeding a crowd, honey baked ham adds a festive touch to the table while leaving plenty of room for delicious sides. Plus, the leftovers are just as good—if not better—the next day!

Though ham is a classic entree, it is too much food for my little family. Each year I make a different recipe. Mels Kitchen Cafe has one of the most classic recipes I have found.

Poppyseed Chicken

Poppyseed chicken is a comforting and flavorful dish that’s perfect for Easter dinner. Its creamy, savory filling topped with a buttery, crunchy poppyseed crust strikes just the right balance between cozy and celebratory. Easy to make ahead and great for feeding a crowd, it’s a stress-free main dish that pairs beautifully with spring sides like roasted veggies or a fresh salad. Plus, it’s a nostalgic favorite that always brings people back for seconds!

Poppyseed Salad

My teens love this recipe and I usually only make it for special occasions. It's simple to make and is packed with flavor. My favorite gluten free pasta is Jovial pasta. The recipe is super simple since you cook the pasta, cut up the fruit and drizzle with Brianna's Poppyseed dressing. You can also add cashews if desired. We have also added cooked chicken, I bet leftover turkey would be a great addition for post -Thanksgiving.

Mashed Potatoes

Mashed potatoes are a timeless Easter dinner side—creamy, comforting, and endlessly versatile. They pair perfectly with everything from glazed ham to roasted veggies, soaking up all the delicious flavors on your plate. Whether you keep them classic with butter and cream or add a spring twist with herbs or garlic, mashed potatoes bring a cozy, crowd-pleasing element to your holiday meal that everyone looks forward to.

Coconut Rice

Coconut rice is a flavorful and unexpected side dish that’s perfect for Easter dinner. Its subtle sweetness and creamy texture complement both savory and spiced mains, adding a tropical twist to your holiday spread. Light yet comforting, it pairs beautifully with glazed ham, roasted veggies, or poppyseed chicken, bringing a touch of warmth and sunshine to your spring celebration.

Candied Yams

Candied yams are a sweet and festive side that adds warmth and color to any Easter dinner. Their rich, caramelized flavor—thanks to brown sugar, butter — perfectly complements savory mains like ham or chicken. With their vibrant orange hue and comforting, melt-in-your-mouth texture, candied yams bring a touch of nostalgic holiday magic to the table, making them a beloved favorite for all ages.

I tend to prep this recipe the day before our feast to save time in the kitchen on the big day. Simply clean your yams (orange flesh sweet potato), slice into rounds, about 1/4" thick. Spary baking sheet and lay the yams on the sheet. Bake at 375° for 15-20 minutes, flip and repeat. Cook until yams are tender. Allow the yams to cool off. Once they are cool, remove the skin. Layer the yams in a 9x13 baking dish. Cut chunks of butter (I use dairy free) and spread through out the dish. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Store in the fridge until ready to bake. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and top with mini marshmallows. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the marshmallows are toasty and golden.

Sweet Potato Biscuits

Sweet potato biscuits are a delightful addition to Easter dinner, offering a soft, buttery bite with a subtle sweetness that feels just right for spring. Their warm, golden color brightens up the table, and the hint of sweet potato adds a unique twist to the classic biscuit. Perfect for pairing with savory dishes or spreading with a bit of honey butter, these tender biscuits bring comfort, flavor, and a touch of Southern charm to your holiday meal.

Sweet Potato Biscuits are simple to make. No need to wait for the dough to rise. No needing. No rolling. No cutting (unless desired). Sweet Potato Biscuits are soft, fluffy and bursting with flavor. These are the perfect addition to your holiday meal. We love these biscuits topped with dairy free butter and honey. They are amazing right out of the oven. These biscuits have amazing texture and are light and airy when using the recommended ingredients.

Roasted Veggies

Roasted veggies are a vibrant and wholesome Easter dinner side that celebrates the freshness of the season. With crisp-tender textures and caramelized edges, they bring out the natural sweetness of spring favorites like carrots, asparagus, and baby potatoes. Not only do they add color and balance to the table, but they’re also easy to prepare and endlessly customizable. Roasted veggies are the perfect way to keep things simple, flavorful, and beautifully seasonal.

Simply chop your families favorite veggies. Spray with cooking spray. Sprinkle with salt. Roast. Simple, hearty and healthy! A new family favorite is the frozen package of mixed veggies from Tattooed Chef, we find it at Costco and can't keep it in our freezer.

Coconut Cake

This Dairy Free Gluten Free Coconut Layer Cake is a stunning spring dessert. The toasted coconut sprinkled all over the silky dairy free coconut buttercream hides any imperfections making this is an easy, show-stopping dessert for Easter.

Coconut cake is the ultimate Easter dessert—light, fluffy, and bursting with springtime charm. Its sweet, creamy layers and snowy coconut topping make it feel like a little slice of sunshine, perfect for celebrating the season. Whether you go for a classic white cake or add a hint of lemon or almond, coconut cake brings a fresh, festive finish to your Easter meal that’s as beautiful as it is delicious.

I haven’t written up my coconut cake recipe just yet, but there are plenty of great options out there to keep things simple this Easter. One of my go-to shortcuts is using a quality white cake mix, King Arthur’s is a favorite in our kitchen. I often use their confetti mix and just set the sprinkles aside for another occasion. Whip up a batch of coconut frosting, add a generous sprinkle of toasted coconut on top, and you’ve got a beautiful, festive dessert with minimal effort!
