Juicy Thanksgiving Turkey - Recipe from All Recipes

Honestly, making this juicy turkey recipe will be first for me this year. I haven't had success making a turkey in the past and yet I have high hopes for this turkey. My sister in law is one of the best cooks I know and she recommended this recipe. Plus it has 5 star rating and nearly 900 reviews!

*I will use Martinelli’s Sparkling cider in place of the champagne.

Candied Yams

Candied yams are a childhood favorite and a favorite for my teens as well. I tend to prep this recipe the day before our feast to save time in the kitchen on the big day. Simply clean your yams (orange flesh sweet potato), slice into rounds, about 1/4" thick. Spary baking sheet and lay the yams on the sheet. Bake at 375° for 15-20 minutes, flip and repeat. Cook until yams are tender. Allow the yams to cool off. Once they are cool, remove the skin. Layer the yams in a 9x13 baking dish. Cut chunks of butter (I use dairy free) and spread through out the dish. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Store in the fridge until ready to bake. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and top with mini marshmallows. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the marshmallows are toasty and golden.

Pasta and Fruit Salad

(full recipe on my Instagram page)

My teens love this recipe and I usually only make it for special occasions. It's simple to make and is packed with flavor. My favorite gluten free pasta is Jovial pasta. The recipe is super simple since you cook the pasta, cut up the fruit and drizzle with Brianna's Poppyseed dressing. You can also add cashews if desired. We have also added cooked chicken, I bet leftover turkey would be a great addition for post -Thanksgiving.

These dairy free Holiday Potatoes have been a staple to our holiday meals the last several years. They are extra creamy and packed with flavor from the roasted garlic. These are actually time consuming, so we only make these for the holidays. Rainbow Plant Life is where I discovered this recipe. I love how she combines gold potatoes and russet potatoes for ideal texture. Note, we all them Holiday Potatoes or Garlic Potatoes.  Nisha has named them The Best Vegan Mashed Potatoes.

Sweet Potato Biscuits

Sweet Potato Biscuits are simple to make. No need to wait for the dough to rise. No needing. No rolling. No cutting (unless desired). Sweet Potato Biscuits are soft, fluffy and bursting with flavor. These are the perfect addition to your holiday meal. We love these biscuits topped with dairy free butter and honey. They are amazing right out of the oven. These biscuits have amazing texture and are light and airy when using the recommended ingredients.

Roasted Veggies

A simple and health side dish are these sheet pan veggies. Chop your families favorite veggies. Spray with cooking spray. Sprinkle with salt. Roast. Simple, hearty and healthy!

Apple Cider

Enjoy a cup of hot apple cider either while prepping all of your food, or to sip on while enjoying your feast with family and friends.

Martinelli's Sparking Cider

Another classic drink for those of us that do not drink alcohol is Martinelli's.

Easy Chocolate Cream Pie

This Easy Chocolate Cream Pie recipe is a chocolate lover’s dream dessert! Simple and decadent. Once you’ve made this delectable chocolate pie recipe from scratch, there’s simply no turning back to store-bought or instant pie fillings. This velvety, smooth, and decadently delicious dessert is bound to become a beloved staple in your home.

I make homemade graham crackers with Cup4Cup Ancient Grains gluten free flour blend.

Coconut Pie

This southern coconut pie is both creamy and chewy. With only a handful of ingredients, this pie is quick and easy to make. The golden crust on top is drool worthy.

I’ve been eating this pie at every Thanksgiving and every Christmas since I was in kindergarten. It’s defiantly a keeper! My mom was given this recipe from a friend from Alabama. So if you like some good southern cooking, this pie is for you!

For a gluten free pie crust, I like the taste and simplicity of King Arthur Pie crust mix. Another yummy option is the mix from Cup4Cup, though it does have dairy and is more time consuming, but delicious. Another option is the new pie crust from Sweet Lorens

Buttercream Pie

This pie is simple to whip up and it really is a crowd pleaser. It’s ALWAYS the first one gone. Don’t let the name fool you, it’s isn’t a cream pie. Just look at how thick the texture is! If raw egg isn't for you, you may not want to try this recipe. For those of us that have eaten our fair share of raw cookie dough this will be a pie worth making year after year.

Tripe Berry Pie

A few years ago a coworker introduced me to this Triple Berry Pie from A Bountiful Kitchen. It is so good and a fun addition to our Thanksgiving feast. I prep this pie on Sunday the week before Thanksgiving. Place it in my oven until the big day. Bake it and allow it to cool while I bake my main dish, Sweet Potato Biscuits and other sides we enjoy.
